You get to be supported, one step at a time

connect about working together

MY OFFERINGS

My work combibnes traumatic grief support, breathwork, death and end-of-life support, ritual, nature, and plant medicine guidance.

Although these are different pathways, they are all rooted in the same intention: to create a safe, compassionate space where you can slow down, be met exactly where you are, and reconnect with yourself, with love, and with life.

I define "holding space" as being willing to stay

with you in what is actually happening rather than trying to change it.

My Offerings

You do not need to know which service is “right” for you before reaching out.

Traumatic Grief Support

Virtual & In-Person

One-to-one support for people navigating profound loss, traumatic grief, identity changes after loss, and the often-overwhelming experience of trying to live in a world that has changed.
This is not about fixing your grief or helping you “move on.” It is a place where your grief can be witnessed, understood, and given room to exist.

This may be for you if you have lost someone you love, experienced a sudden or traumatic death, are a bereaved parent, feel lost in who you are after loss, or simply need somewhere you do not have to pretend you are okay.

Sessions are available virtually and in person. We move slowly and follow what is present for you that day. Our time may include conversation, nervous-system support, grounding, ritual, breath, silence, remembrance, or simply having somewhere to speak freely.

Support can be a single session or ongoing, depending on what you need.

Next Step: Book a free connection call so we can meet and talk about what you are carrying and what kind of support may feel right.

Death Doula & End-of-Life Support

Virtual & In-Person

Compassionate emotional, spiritual, and practical support for individuals and families approaching death.

Death can hold fear, uncertainty, beauty, tenderness, unfinished conversations, and enormous love. My role is not to tell someone how to die, but to help create more space, presence, and choice around the experience.

This is for Individuals approaching the end of life, family members supporting someone who is dying, or anyone wanting help navigating conversations, ritual, remembrance, or the emotional and spiritual landscape around death.

Support may be in person or virtual depending on circumstances. Every situation is different, so our work is shaped around what the individual and family actually need. This may include companionship, emotional support, legacy and remembrance work, ritual, conversations about death and dying, support for loved ones, and simply being present.

Next step: Please reach out directly so we can talk about what is happening and what kind of support may be helpful.

Sometimes the first step is simply a conversation, and together we can explore what kind of support feels most appropriate for where you are now.

"Grief work is not a field that people are particularly drawn to...not a work that you enter into with excitement and enthusiasm but rather one you must be willing to answer the call to. It is a field that requires some level of deep initiation into the mysteries of grief that allows one to mine the jewels and gifts embedded within those mysteries. I have had the great honor of witnessing Allison navigate that initiation herself and plum the depths of the experience for gifts that were meant for her to bring out into the world. So thank you Allison for answering the call, for choosing to use your vast personal experiences and lessons to help others walk through their own dark journey, for always showing up with compassion and care and for always being a brilliant light shining in this world, not in spite of the grief but because of your choice to welcome it to the table. Potential client: If you yourself are feeling called to explore the landscapes of your grief, I can think of no better person to do that work with than Alison Yendell."

Ritual Breathwork

Virtual & In-Person

Ritual Breathwork brings together conscious breathing, music, nervous-system awareness, intention, and ritual to create space for emotion, release, connection, and remembrance.
The breath can sometimes help us reach places that words alone cannot.

It can be especially supportive for people carrying grief, emotional overwhelm, life transitions, or a longing to reconnect with themselves or with someone they love who has died. I also offer breathwork specifically for bereaved parents.

Available virtually and in person, individually and in groups. Sessions are generally around 90 minutes to two hours, depending on the offering.

We begin slowly with grounding and intention, move through guided breathwork and music, and always allow time afterward for rest, integration, and reflection.

Next step: Reach out or book a connection call to find out about private sessions and upcoming groups.

"Alison’s Soul Connection Breathwork is such a beautiful gift for bereaved parents. She creates an incredibly safe, loving space to breathe, soften, release, and open our hearts to our children in spirit. Each session I’ve experienced has been different, but always powerful - filled with connection, emotion, peace, and even a little magic.

I always leave feeling lighter, more grounded, and deeply connected to my sparkly son Shayne. So grateful for Alison and the love she brings to this beautiful work."

This is for someone who feels called to explore plant medicine thoughtfully and intentionally, particularly around grief, loss, transition, meaning, or spiritual connection.

This work is primarily in person, with preparation and integration support that can happen virtually. We spend time exploring intention, emotional readiness, what you are carrying, and what support may be needed before and after an experience.

Next step: Book a connection call so we can talk about what you are seeking and whether working together feels appropriate.

Five years ago, I lost my wife, and the grief that followed became intertwined with depression and anxiety that I had struggled with for much of my life.

I had the opportunity to attend two retreats with Alison, one in San Diego and another in Truckee, California. Those experiences changed my life.

Reviews for Alison's Plant Medicine Guidance

Allison’s gentleness, experience, and compassion were apparent from the very start of my considering a psilocybin journey, mostly out of pure curiosity. Long before the chosen date, she spent at least an hour with me by telephone getting to know more about my expectations and awareness of this powerful medicine. On the evening prior, we had another long discussion while she assessed my readiness and asked me to write an intention.

-SUSAN, HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL

Alison is an exceptionally gifted healer and guide. She has become THE person I go to with my deepest spiritual interests, inquiries, and explorations, and I can’t imagine going on this journey with anyone else.

I met Alison very serendipitously after the sudden loss of my dad in 2023. Upon meeting her for the first time, I knew I’d been blessed with a guide on my path who could truly help me navigate the deepest parts of my grief.

-SARA JEAN BOWERS

This was my first experience with the medicine, and I couldn’t have chosen a more perfect human to hold space and help guide me through. Alison walked me through the process over the phone, a week before the journey. She stayed in touch consistently to prepare me up until the night before, suggesting ways to make the most of the setting and set, showing me how to invite the medicine to do its work. The morning of, she arrived and set up the space to ensure that I had anything and everything I might need.

I am deeply grateful for the work we have done together and for the profound difference Alison has made in my life. I would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone who is struggling with grief, loss, anxiety, depression, or simply trying to find their way back to themselves.

On the evening prior, we had another long discussion while she assessed my readiness and asked me to write an intention. For me, it was to see the realm of my prayers (amazing). She gave me some preparatory instructions regarding the choice of a meal and sleep.

On the day of the journey, she had a safe, clean, and comfortable futon with pillows and blankets set up so there was no chance of falling or other injury. Her preparation was reassuring as she chose the dose. Once again, prior to drinking the tea, we reviewed that she would be constantly present and able to assist with water and bathroom breaks if needed.

She did not inject her own opinion but gently let the journey happen according to my mind. My experience was extraordinary. Alison was attentive and quietly reassuring. The music choice was pleasant, and occasionally she offered water but not her own ideas or expectations. When the journey came to a conclusion, she recommended resting and then had a lovely vegetarian soup to offer. She followed up the next morning and listened carefully to my description of this profound experience.

Allison is an excellent listener and a careful, gentle, non-judgmental guide.

We have talked several times since. I plan to take another journey at about a year following the first.

She is so knowledgeable and experienced, and yet never misses a chance to learn from her clients’ experiences as well. She exudes a natural light that is rare and precious, and working with her has moved me through my grief and back towards life in ways that I never knew were possible.

Through our work together, I’ve experienced a total transformation and rewiring of my inner and outer worlds. She has helped me fall in love with my life (even its tragedies), while also maintaining a rich connection to the spiritual realm.

Alison approaches her work with such clarity and care, and holds space for experiences that are enormous and mysterious, beautiful and challenging, humorous and heartbreaking. It feels as if you are on a mystical adventure together. She is there for the highs and the lows, the unexpected insights and the curious unraveling of deep magic. She has a special way of walking alongside you while always guiding you back to the wisdom inside yourself.

I love and trust Alison with my whole heart. If you’ve been lucky enough to encounter her along your own path, I wouldn’t be surprised to hear it happened just as serendipitously as it did for me. May her presence be a blessing in your life, as it has been in mine.

She took her time to answer any questions I had lingering and to help settle any nerves. I felt cared for and supported throughout the entire experience.

My intention going in was to let go of anger, bitterness, resentment, fear— things that I’ve carried throughout my life that had become too heavy. I asked the medicine to show me who I am, and the medicine answered by shedding away all of the things I am not. This changed my life in a single moment.

At one point, I felt confused and struggled to express what I was experiencing. I began feeling restless and suggested to Ali that we go outside— she thankfully followed her intuition and encouraged me to breathe and come back into my heart. When I did, the gifts of the medicine poured in.

Throughout the experience, I swayed between moments of silence and streams of speaking. Ali wrote down whatever came up for me and used these notes to help me integrate the experience later on. There was no point where I felt scared or unsafe, and I believe that had to do with both my caregiver and the way she encouraged me to trust in the medicine.

I slowly came down in the late afternoon, and Ali had prepared a delicious soup which was exactly what I needed. We watched the sunset in silence and allowed the energy to move through me to continue doing the work that it is doing even now, until today. Ali was intuitive and generous at every moment, and her ability to hold space is such a remarkable gift to the world. From the following day onward, Ali has made herself available to help with the integration process, to talk through any feelings or ideas that have come up. Mostly, she has been a beautiful soul celebrating with me after this rebirth. Ali is a true support, pure love; her presence alone is part of the healing.

Ritual, Nature & Remembrance

are woven throughout my work

We may create meaningful ways to honour the person who died, mark an anniversary, acknowledge a transition, spend time outdoors, create an altar, or make a beautiful flower mandala. Work with memory and symbolism, or simply make space for something that feels too important to pass over without ceremony.

These practices are never imposed. They are invitations, and they can be spiritual, secular, traditional, deeply personal, or very simple.

You do not need to arrive here ready to heal. You do not need to know what you need. You can simply arrive as you are.

Working with me feels

Slow, slow, slow. One step at a time.

Holding space, to me, means creating somewhere you do not have to edit yourself. You can say the thing you are afraid to say out loud. You can cry, swear, be angry, feel numb, laugh, sit in silence, question everything, or simply say, “I don’t know.” I am not going to be shocked by your grief, judge it, rush it, or turn away from it
.
When someone is completely overwhelmed, I don’t believe we need to unravel everything at once. We begin with what is here, right now. Sometimes that means talking. Sometimes it means breathing, grounding, sitting quietly, or simply helping you feel safe enough to be in your own body for the next few minutes.

For me, holding space is not passive. It is deep presence, listening beneath the words, noticing what your body may be communicating, and allowing whatever is true to have somewhere to land.

What makes my approach different is that I bring both professional training and lived experience, but I will never assume that my grief means I know yours.

The relationship was yours. The loss is yours. The way through will be yours.

You don’t need to know which kind of support you need before reaching out.

Come exactly as you are, and we can begin with a conversation; together we’ll find the next step that feels right for you.

let's connect
